আওয়ামী লীগের চরম দূর্দিনে কাজ করেছি – কাজী শহিদুল ইসলাম

বঙ্গবন্ধুর আদর্শ বুকে ধারন করে শ্রদ্ধেয় নেতা মান্নান ভাই মহিউদ্দিন ভাই, মাহতাব ভাই’র নির্দেশে কাজ করেছি, উনাদের নেতৃত্ব অনুসরণ করেছি, রাজনীতি শিখার চেষ্ঠা করেছি।

আমরা ছিলাম, আছি এবং থাকবো। দলের জন্য ভালবাসার কোন ঘাটতি আমাদের কখনও ছিলনা এবং বর্তমানেও নেই। আওয়ামী লীগের চরম দূর্দিনে কাজ করেছি। নব্বই দশকে স্বৈরাচার পতনের লক্ষ্যে মিছিল করেছি, শ্লোগানে-শ্লোগানে রাজপথ কম্পিত করেছি, রংয়ের কৌটা হাতে নিয়ে দেয়ালে দেয়ালে চিকা মেরেছি, নিজ হাতে পোস্টার লিখেছি-দেয়ালে লাগিয়েছি পুলিশি অত্যাচারের বিরুদ্ধে রুখে দাঁড়িয়েছি। বঙ্গ বন্ধুর আদর্শ বুকে ধারন করে শ্রদ্ধেয় নেতা মান্নান ভাই মহিউদ্দিন ভাই, মাহতাব ভাই’র নির্দেশে কাজ করেছি, উনাদের নেতৃত্ব অনুসরণ করেছি,রাজনীতি শিখার চেষ্ঠা করেছি। কোন বড় ভাইকে খুশি করার জন্য নয়। 

তৎকালীন সময়ে তথাকথিত বড় ভাইদের যেমন উত্থান হয়নি তেমনি দলে হাইব্রীডদের অনুপ্রবেশের সুযোগ ছিলনা। বর্তমানে রাজনীতিতে দুষ্টু লোক ও দুর্বৃত্তদের অশুভ আস্ফালনে আমারা কখনও হারিয়ে যাবনা। আমাদের পদ-পদবী নেই, মূল্যায়ন নেই-তাতে কি আসে যায়? আমাদের অভিমান থাকতেই পারে কিন্তু দলের দূর্দিনে আমরা থাকবো অশুভ শক্তির বিরুদ্ধে লড়াইয়ের সম্মুখ কাতারে। “জয় বাংলা”

১৯৮৯সালে আমি ছিলাম বাগমনিরাম ওয়ার্ড ছাত্রলীগের সভাপতি এবং ১৯৯১ সালে নগর ছাত্রলীগের ক্রীড়া সম্পাদক, আমার সর্ববামে বসা সায়েদ আহম্মদ বাবুল(১৯৯১সালে বাগমনিরাম ওয়ার্ড ছাত্রলীগের সভাপতি) মাঝে বসা সকলের পরিচিত মুখ হাসান মনসুর (১৯৮৯সালে বাগমনিরাম ওয়ার্ড ছাত্রলীগের সাধারন সম্পাদক) পরবর্তী সময়ে হাসান মনসুর কোতোয়ালী থানা আওয়ামী লীগের সাধারন সম্পাদক হিসাবে দায়িত্ব পালন করেন কিন্তু রাজনীতির দুরবৃর্তায়ন এর কাছে হেরে গিয়ে তাকে কোতোয়ালী থানা আওয়ামী লীগ থেকে সরে যেতে হয়েছিল।

I Have worked in the worst days of Awami League 

I Have worked under the direction of respected leader Mannan Bhai Mohiuddin Bhai, Mahtab Bhai, following the leadership of Banga Bandhu, I have followed their leadership, I have tried to learn politics.

We were, are and will be. We have never had a lack of love for the team and still do. I have worked in the worst days of Awami League. In the nineties, I marched with the aim of overthrowing the dictatorship, shook the highways with slogans, painted the walls with paint cans, wrote posters with my own hands and put up posters against the police brutality. I have worked under the direction of respected leader Mannan Bhai Mohiuddin Bhai, Mahtab Bhai, holding the ideal of my friend in my heart, I have followed their leadership, I have tried to learn politics. Not to please any big brother. Hybrids did not have the opportunity to enter the team as the so-called big brothers did not emerge at that time. We will never get lost in the evil boasting of naughty people and miscreants in politics today. We don't have titles, we don't have evaluations - what does it matter? We may have pride but in the hard times of the team we will be in the forefront of the fight against evil forces. “Joy Bangla”

In 1989, I was the president of Bagmaniram Ward Chhatra League and in 1991, the sports secretary of Nagar Chhatra League. He served as the general secretary of the league but lost to politics and had to withdraw from the Kotwali Thana Awami League.
